President & Field Commander

Brendan A. Linton

A lifelong supporter of music education and third generation member of the Cal U community, Brendan is a senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in mathematics.  He is a member of the Cal U Marching Band as one of the three field commanders.

Brendan currently serves as president of the Cal U Bicycling Club and the student representative to the campus-wide Parking and Transportation Advisory Committee.  Brendan has previously served as Recording Secretary, Student Cabinet member, and senator in Cal U's Student Government Association, as well as a director of Student Association, Incorporated (SAI), a non-profit corporation providing services and support to Cal U students since 1937 with over $5 million in assets.

Prior to college, Brendan actively participated in concert and marching band in the Seneca Valley School District, including the high school Symphonic Wind Ensemble and two Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) band festivals.  In the 2013-2014 school year, Brendan served as the field commander for the 215-member award winning Seneca Valley Marching Band.

With nearly a decade of experience volunteering and working among municipal and state government administration, Brendan assists with the annual budget and other administrative tasks of the Cal U Bands.  Brendan is employed with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Budget and Fiscal Management during the summer months as a Summer Food Service Program Field Monitor.

When classes are not in session, Brendan resides in Cranberry Township, Butler County with his parents and sister.
