1988-present: Band Director, Connellsville Area School District, Connellsville, Pa.

Mr. Shultz is an active studio teacher and his students have attained positions in Honors, District, Region, All -State and All Eastern Bands as well as careers in the fields of Music Performance and Education.

His bands have achieved Superior Ratings at PMEA Instrumental Ensemble Adjudication Festivals and outstanding ratings at numerous performance festivals.

He has studied with:  Raymond T. Budd, Dr. Richard Knab, Dr. Daniel DiCicco, Dr. Robert Lloyd, Nestor Koval, David Tessmer, Carol Kintzler, Frank Dillard and Thomas Thompson.

Performance Experience

All University Band/Orchestra Jazz Ensembles, Rejoice Christian Performance Ensemble, Buddy Lee Orchestra, Johnny Murphy Orchestra, Sammy Bill Orchestra, Lee Barrett Orchestra, Norma Zimmer (Lawrence Welk Show), The Temptations, and The Vogues. 

Mr. Shultz has made live television/radio broadcasts as well as studio recordings.  He performs regularly with the Laurel Winds Woodwind Quintet, The Brass Knuckles Band, and The Augsburg German Band .  He actively performs in numerous  Musical Pit Orchestras, serves as the orchestra conductor for the Connellsville Area High School Spring Musical and  is a freelance woodwinds performer in the tri-state area.
