What is Student Government?

Student Government is the representative voice of the student body at California University of Pennsylvania.  The Student Senate, House of Representatives, and Student Cabinet are the three governing bodies of Cal U's Student Government.  
 

Can I join Student Government?

YES!  We want to hear your voice!  All students at California University of Pennsylvania are invited to join Student Government as a senator.  There are three steps to becoming a senator:

  • Obtain fifty (50) signatures and email addresses from students at California University of Pennsylvania on a petition.
  • Bring your completed petition to the Student Government office in person.
  • Attend the following Student Government meeting (Monday at 4:15 p.m. in Natali 206/207)

Can I attend a Student Government meeting?

YES!  All Student Government meetings are open to the public.

  • Student Senate convenes every Monday evening at 4:15 p.m. during the academic semester (except University holidays) in the Natali Student Center Room 206/207
  • The House of Representatives convenes on the first Thursday of each month at 11:00 a.m. during the academic semester (except University holidays) in the Natali Student Center Vulcan Theatre.

  • Student Cabinet convenes every Wednesday at 4:20 p.m. during the academic semester (except University holidays).  Please check our calendar at the top right of this page for the exact meeting location on campus.
